As if it wasn't enough seeing Taylor Swift, fans lucky enough to get tickets to the gig will get a warm up from Paramore - a huge act in their own right. The band played a sold out gig at Cardiff's Utilita Arena in April 2023, with tickets being snapped up within minutes.

As hardcore fans will know, Tay-Tay likes to change things up each show with two surprise songs for the crowd. How to get to Cardiff and the Principality Stadium
Trains

Transport for Wales will be providing additional capacity where possible on routes in/out of Cardiff on Tuesday June 18th, but trains are expected to be very busy, so please allow plenty of time for your journey.

Post-event queues for mainline rail services will be on Central Square and queues for Valleys services will be to the rear of the station. Cardiff Queen Street will close at 9.30pm except for accessible access and passengers that wish to travel to Cardiff Bay.

Revenue checks will be taking place at Cardiff throughout the day. Visit www.tfw.wales or the new TfW app for the latest travel information.

If you have any issues on the railway, please speak to a conductor or, for more serious matters, you can text the British Transport Police on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40. In an emergency, always call 999.

Great Western Railway (GWR)

GWR will run additional services to help customers get home after the concert. Extra trains will operate from Cardiff Central to Swansea, Newport, Bristol and Swindon; with plenty of parking available at station car parks.

Trains are, however, expected to be very busy immediately after the concert and a queueing system will be in place outside the station to help people board trains safely.

Those travelling from further afield should check connecting services, and the time of their last train home, at www.gwr.com/check.

The car park opens at 8.45am with the first bus leaving at 9am. The last bus will leave Fitzhammon Embankment at midnight and the park & ride site will close at 00.30am the following morning.

Please visit the relevant bus operator's website for more information about your specific bus routes.

For Stagecoach services, please visit: Welcome to Stagecoach (stagecoachbus.com)

For Cardiff Bus services, please visit: www.cardiffbus.com/principality-stadium

For NAT services, please visit: www.natgroup.co.uk

National Express:

National Express coaches will use Sophia Gardens as usual.

Can you cycle or walk

The cycleways and the pop-up cycleways within the road closure area will remain open for cyclists to use during the event, but due to the number of people expected to attend the concert, we ask all cyclists to take due care and attention.

The road closures apply to all motor vehicles of any kind, but not to bicycles with pedals.

Those who live locally in Cardiff may want to travel by bicycle or walk. Research shows us that 52% of car trips made in the Welsh capital are less than 5km. This is a distance that can be comfortably cycled in 20 minutes.

We also know that 28% of Cardiff residents who currently do not cycle would like to do so.

When the roads are congested this makes cycling an even more attractive option as travel by bicycle would be quicker than a car during rush hours or during big events.

Shopping Parking

City centre car parks are also available: North Road Car Parks, St David's Shopping Centre, John Lewis, Capitol Shopping Centre, and NCP (Adam Street, Dumfries Place and Greyfriars Road).

Disabled parking

Disabled drivers are advised to use Sophia Gardens. Disabled parking is also available at various private car parks.

Please check individual websites for availability.

Taxis

Hackney carriage (black & white) taxis and private hire vehicles operate very differently under different legalisation. You can read more about that here - www.cardiffnewsroom.co.uk/releases/c25/17046.html

Hackney carriage (black & white) taxis are legally required to accept bookings from taxi ranks that start and end in the city’s boundary unless they have a reasonable excuse (such as carrying open food, being excessively drunk or abusive) and they must also use the fitted taximeter to calculate the fare. Refusing these fares or not using the meter is an offence.

If someone is getting a taxi which is travelling outside the Cardiff boundary – the meter doesn’t have to be used, and the agreed price is negotiated between the driver and the customer as a verbal contract. Please negotiate with the taxi driver.

Whist some taxis will take card payments, the majority predominantly take cash only, please be mindful of this prior to obtaining a taxi from a rank and check with the driver before your journey home starts.

If you are refused a fare, or over charged by a hackney carriage taxi, please take note of the driver number or the licence plate details, as well as where and when it happened and email licensing@cardiff.gov.uk . Please note that we will need a statement from the customer to investigate the alleged offence and the customer may be asked to attend a committee as part of the disciplinary process.

St Mary Street taxi rank (outside the House of Fraser building) will close at 12 noon and will re-open at midnight.

Can you still get tickets?
While official tickets were released and snapped up back in August 2023, there are still ways to get involved - even this close to the show.

Just over a week before the Cardiff date, a number of ‘partially obstructed limited view’ tickets were released for the show. These are typically initially held back by event organisers before they know just how much of the stadium's seated capacity will be taken up by the set. Now that the UK tour is in full swing and production staff know how much space is needed they have been made available.

Fans who registered for tickets last year but missed out may receive a code from Ticketmaster to enter the site’s queue. Hopefuls will only be able to purchase last minute tickets through official sites with a code.

through third party resale sites such as Viagogo and VividSeats. Ticket prices range from as little as £469 to £1,5141 for Cardiff from Viagogo, at the time of writing. It is important to stress that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale.

Taylor Swift fever takes over Liverpool as fans arrive at Anfield for three sold-out shows

Taylor Swift supporters have arrived in Liverpool ahead of the global megastar's 100th world tour show - and fans think she could have a special surprise up her sleeve.
The US pop star, famous for songs like Anti-hero and Style, will perform three sold-out gigs at Anfield stadium, the home of Liverpool Football Club, on 13, 14, and 15 June.

Her record-breaking Eras Tour is a culmination of her successful musical career, with different segments of the concert dedicated to albums she has released.

To make her visit to Liverpool even more special, her first performance at Anfield will mark her 100th world tour gig, and falls on the 13th - her lucky number.

There is speculation that Taylor could mark the spectacular milestone by releasing a new album - or bringing out a very special Liverpudlian guest - Sir Paul McCartney.

From making friendship bracelets to trade with other concert-goers to finding the perfect outfit for their chosen album era, fans have gone all out for Tay Tay.

The Grammy-award winner has received a warm welcome already, with the city transformed into 'Taylor Town' ahead of her arrival and Liverpool University hosting a 'Tay Day'.

At the front of the queue is Elise, 19, alongside her friends who have come to Liverpool from Florida.

The group arrived at Anfield at 4:30am, having attended the Doja Cat concert in Birmingham the night before.

Elise said the group are "exhausted" but "running on adrenaline." She said: "I’m running on Skittles. We've been waiting for this for so long."
Gracie Simmons, 19, began queuing at Anfield at 4:30am after travelling with her mum, Anitta, from Mississippi to see the concert.

She said: "This is my first time seeing Taylor. I’m very excited. I’m so excited to see her - this is crazy. I’m excited for Tortured Poets.”

Matching in all pink, Emma and her dad Peter, from Leicestershire, brought camp chairs and ponchos in preparation for their wait.

Emma, who has been a Swiftie since she was seven, said: "It’s a dad-daughter thing for us to come and see Taylor."

Katie, Lucy, Paddy and Emily have travelled to Anfield from Gloucestershire and have made over one thousand bracelets and jackets for tonight.
“I love her, she unites people", Katie said. "She’s incredible. She’s really cool and everyone loves her."
